# Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Codeek Camera ("we", "our", or "the app") handles information when you use the mobile application.

Codeek Camera is designed to capture photos with camera access, live location context, and local gallery saving. Based on the current app implementation, we do not require account creation, and we do not provide an in-app social feed or public profile system.

## Information We Access

### Camera

The app requests access to your device camera so you can take photos inside the app.

### Location

The app requests foreground location permission so it can read your current GPS coordinates and attempt to show a human-readable address through reverse geocoding while you use the app.

### Photos and Media Library

The app requests access to your device media library so it can:

- save photos captured in the app to your gallery
- load saved photos for viewing inside the app gallery

## How Information Is Used

Codeek Camera currently uses accessed information for the following purposes:

- to show a live camera preview
- to capture a photo when you choose to take one
- to read your current location while the app is in use
- to display location details such as coordinates and address
- to save captured photos to your device photo library
- to display saved photo items in the in-app gallery view

## Data Storage

Based on the current version of the app:

- photos you capture are saved to your device photo library
- location details are used in the active app session for display purposes
- we do not currently provide account-based cloud sync in the app
- we do not currently require sign-in

If future versions add cloud storage, analytics, AI features, sharing, or third-party backend services, this Privacy Policy should be updated before release.

## Data Sharing

Based on the current implementation, Codeek Camera does not include an in-app feature that sells your personal information.

We do not state that data is "never shared" under all circumstances, because sharing may still occur:

- if required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request
- to protect rights, safety, and security
- if the app is transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale

If third-party services are added later, this section should be updated to name them and explain what data they receive.

## Permissions

The app may request the following permissions, depending on platform behavior:

- Camera: to capture photos
- Location while in use: to read live GPS information
- Photos or media library: to save images and view saved photos

You can deny these permissions, but parts of the app may not work correctly without them.

## Data Retention

Because the current app mainly works with data on your device:

- photos remain in your photo library until you delete them
- app-session metadata may remain only for the duration of app use unless future versions store it more permanently

## Children

Codeek Camera is not intentionally directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app in a way that requires action, contact us and we will review the issue.

## Security

We aim to use reasonable measures appropriate to the current app design. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

## Your Choices

You can:

- choose whether to grant camera, location, and media permissions
- revoke permissions later through your device settings
- delete saved photos from your device gallery
- stop using the app at any time

## Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we should revise the "Last updated" date and publish the updated version with the app release.
