Privacy Policy for Codeek Map

Codeek Map ("the app") is a mobile map tool that lets users save markers, attach photos, draw routes and areas, search places, and export selected data. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, how that information is used, and what choices users have.

Summary

• Codeek Map does not require account registration.
• Codeek Map does not include ads, analytics SDKs, or crash reporting in the current app build.
• Most app data is stored locally on the user's device.
• Location and photo library access are optional and used only for app features the user chooses to use.
• Place search sends the user's search query to the OpenStreetMap Nominatim search service so results can be returned.

Information We Handle

1. Device location

If the user grants location permission, the app may access foreground device location to:

• center the map on the user's current position
• show the user's current position on the map
• support route-planning and recenter actions

The app requests foreground location access only. The app is not designed to collect background location.

2. Photos selected by the user

If the user grants photo/media permission, the app may let the user choose images from the device library and attach them to saved markers. Selected images are copied into the app's local storage on the device so they can remain linked to saved marker records.
